Your student identification (ID) is the 8-digit student number on your offer letter. It is used for your Murdoch email, and gives you access to a wide range of Murdoch systems and services.

You can log in to most Murdoch systems and services with:

ID cards

You’ll need a student ID card if you are studying on campus in Australia. External and OUA students can also request a card to access on-campus facilities.

Your ID card is used for:

  • photographic identification, for example at examinations (including those held off-campus)
  • library borrowing
  • electronic access to secure buildings and laboratories relevant to your course
  • photocopy and printing services.

Your ID card displays your name, using your preferred given name as listed in MyInfo, e.g. Jenni SMITH, along with your photograph and student ID number.
